The Principal

More wrong than right — and still standing.

I'm a former professionally trained cellist, athlete, and energy tech entrepreneur. My path into finance started young — my mother was my first investor, backing a car wash I ran in high school, and I founded my first companies before turning seventeen.

After Iowa State University and Victoria University in New Zealand, it was time to build my own path. A handful of private companies followed — some successful exits, a few board seats — and eventually a partnership with Tanto Capital, a London-based merchant bank and family office serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals, well-known families, celebrities, and athletes. From there, I expanded into late-stage venture capital and private equity across aquaculture, oil & gas, real estate, technology, healthcare, agriculture, sports, and aviation.

All this to say: I've gotten more wrong than right. I don't have all the answers. I surround myself with people who have the resources to find them.
